I'm not sure that is what they are, but good gravy they are everywhere. When I opened the front door at 4am this morning about 874 wings flew into the house, but that was nothing compared to the dead bodies all over the porch being carried off by 478,974 ants. When I came home tonight (just now) I could hardly see the porch light. Got the door open and another 478 little critters came in with me. Mrs. tell me to pluck the wings and fry them with a little salt and oyster sauce.

Termite neophytes looking for somewhere to establish a new colony.

There was an video on Chiang Mai forum about cooking the termites on a pan. I think that's one of the best things in Thailand, ability to turn the annoyance to a delicious meal

Do you keep chooks? Place a large bowl half full of water under your porch light. The chickens will be forever grateful the next morning when you feed them the drowned termites.

Not too many so far this year (I think "7 Pest Control" did a good job). But in the past...

PS: @OP: I keep a can of mosquito spray on a table outside the front door.

6. Rush in and close bug screen.

Generally keeps the little b*ggers at bay.
