Error 0x80070570 on OMG micro sd 64gb & 128gb cards

I have been transferring flac and MP3 music from my computers (windows 7 & 8.1). I have purchased OMG 64gb and OMG 128gb cards. I have never had a problem transferring music to other cards. After transferring some music I always get the Error 0x80070570 from both operating systems. I have formatted the cards to the music players that I will be using. I had a 64gb Sandisk Ultra card card in my Sony Xperia Compact phone which I had Flac music on. The phone said the disk was damaged and to reformat it, which I have not done as it works fine in the windows 7 computer and my sony AWZ-A17 music player. Does anyone have experience with OMG micro sd cards or a sure way to correct the 0x80070570 Error? I see many answers on google. I have tried to format the cards to Fat32 which some of the devices do not recognize so I format to exfat which is default with windows 7 & 8.1. Any ideas or should I throw the OMG micro cards in the bin? When I check the cards with h2testw they read okay.

Two simple checks.

First look at the cards and see if they are marked HC or XC. If HC, then throw them away.

Second, how much did you pay for the 128GB? If well under 2000 e.g 999 baht and bought online then throw them away.

Never hurts to check Amazon to see their selling price for the cards they sell... and then work out for yourself how likely it is you bought the real deal or not.

According to some online sellers 512GB micro SD cards are a bargain buy this week... biggrin.png

They are HC. I bought them online from Lazada. The 128gb was 2 x micro sd cards for 1599 baht. I guess I will send them back as I cannot waste anymore time trying to get them to work.

Google "SD Card Test"

There are several websites that can check the cards through your laptop. I used on of those services a few years ago to determine a faulty 32gb card. Sent it to Kingston and they replaced it so you might try the same with the manufacturer rather than Lazada.

I would suspect their are also some Android apps that can test the card if mounted on your phone.

As I mentioned the cards would not hold the data that they were supposed to. The 64gb I could only get 8gb of data before I got the Error 0x80070570 message. I sent everything back to Lazada yesterday stating the cards were defective. Will have to wait and see what kind of drama I will get back from Lazada. Thank you for the replies.

No shortage of no-name fake microSD cards being sold...and I would classify OMG as a no-name. And of course no-shortage of fake brand name microSD cards being sold also. Just place your order with thousands of available Chinese manufacturers (and in other countries) to make whatever you want with whatever name, packaging your want....even brand name packaging/labeling.

I'm placing an order with a mainland Chinese manufacturer to built 100,000 microSD cards simply named Pib...I'm still deciding on the quality/specs to use....I get the lowest price for Grade F quality/specs....I think I will go with Grade F quality/specs but with Grade A packaging/labeling...if it's pretty, the public will buy it.

Am I recalling correctly that there was to be a line of "PIB" tablets some years back?? Maybe you could offer these "PIB" memory cards as a "Bonus" incentive to the millions awaiting your product release.

Will there be a party?

Yeap...I seriously considered a line of Chinese tablets named Pib...but instead I had a bunch of crystal balls made instead based on all the ThaiVisa posters wanting to know which direction the Baht, Pound, Euro, Dollar, etc., was heading---I made a killing...you must have missed my ad on Ebay and AliExpress. tongue.png

I think someone bought a whole bunch of Pib tablets for Thai school children just a couple of years ago. You must have made a killing on that deal, LOL. tongue.png

I also contracted with a Chinese company to have special statistical software written for the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)...the only requirement TAT defined was the software always had to show increasing tourist numbers. That software is still in use...I'm expecting TAT will report 10 billion tourists per year within 10 years.
