Does anyone know if there is a HSBC bank in Cha-Am or perhaps Hua Hin? I have a check from BUPA insurance that I would like to cash. I did the Goggle search but didn't find anything conclusive.

to my knowledge, there is no, nor HH nor in Cha Am

HSBC sold all their retail activities to Krungsri Bank a couple of years back so you will not find any branches in HH or the rest of Thailand anymore.

They only kept their corporate banking business.

They still have offices on Rama 4 in Bangkok but only for commercial business.

Recommend that you post the cheque to your home country and process through your local branch. Sterling or currency cheque?

I had checked their web site and did see that they are now commercial only but I was trying to see if they had an office anywhere but Bangkok. Since no such office exists I guess I will deposit it in our Bangkok Bank account and wait to see how long they take to process the deposit. I've heard stories that it takes a long time over here to get a check deposit processed.
