MobileTopUp
If you're looking to for a way to upload your lifetime cache of photos and videos to the cloud, you may want to look into using AIS Super Wifi. Here's some speed test results taken at Emporium and Emquartier: Within Thailand: To Singapore: 100 Mbps down and 83 Mbps up. Wow. What speeds have you gotten on AIS Super Wifi? joncl
so you get 100mbis from you to the AIS server, great but how does that help with anything not on the AIS server i.e. google, facebook etc ..

Note the server in the second screenshot is Starhub, meaning traffic is from AIS to servers in Singapore, distributed home to the types of services you mention. Anyway, 100mb upload in Thailand is fair enough. You can upload to google drive at domestic speeds.

You ever heard of speedtest.net cheating by Thai ISPs ? FTL ping speeds to USA or whatsoever.
casualbiker
I asked a simple question! Do you ACTUALLY have any proof? I'm not saying you're wrong, just if they cheat what's the point of using them. What system do you use to qualify your post saying it's "impossible"?

casualbiker
You could have just as easily said.. You can't get a lower ping rate because it's constrained by the cabling.. But OK then!

I have proof. It is called physics. You can not get ping lower than ~30ms from Bangkok to Singapore. And you DID accuse someone else.. In this case AIS and Speed test.net. Simple questions sometimes are exactly that! Presume sometimes that others don't know what you know and explain it, otherwise it looks like bluster! It's not but it looks like that without further explanation. I hope you understand!

casualbiker
I checked a few of the ping websites. Thank you for highlighting the problem with ping rates.
MobileTopUp
With that out of the way, lets get back to the task of finding out if it's just Emporium that has fast AIS Super wifi, or is AIS super Wifi fast everywhere? Post your result.

Post your result. Well I for one am not going to use it as Muratremix has shown the ping rates to be a con ( also I don't live in Bkk) Edited July 7, 2015 by casualbiker
muratremix
I would like to try it but I don't use AIS Smart package. If you're not a subscriber to AIS Smart packages over 500 baht, you can opt-in for 99 baht, but they offer it with 20gb data transfer (monthly?). I don't see any reason to switch to AIS 3G, while I can get 4G with True-H even in my bedroom and almost everywhere in Bangkok.
