I am going to Khon Kaen for a month. I live in Chiang Mai and have my own bike but not convenient to take with me. I would therefore like to hire a bicycle - a mountain bike style bike - enough to satisfy my thirst for about 20 to 30 kms per day. I would appreciate knowing where in Khon Kaen I can find one. Thank you for any up to date information.

I'm from Khon Kaen ( but currently in the UK), and don't think there is anywhere around that rents out mountain bikes. Not exactly huge demand I imagine!

Buy a cheap one 5000 baht and try to sell it when your done.

Maybe in front ( on the opposite side of the road, close to the U-Inn hotel of Sirikit hospital ) , the huge public hospital ;

but if they rent a bicycle maybe the price per day will be high ;

In my little town, Sawang Daen Din, ( Sakon Nakhon province ), Khun Neung who has a shop for modern bikes, rents a bicycle for 500 baht a day !!

Better for you to buy a bicycle or to come from Chiang mai with yours.

A suggestion :

why not going to Khon Kaen from Chiang Mai on your bicycle ?
