I am back in Farangistan and looking my old bikes:

Musing (or something similar frame) a bit too big for me.

old Bianchi Frame, steel, a bit small. I want to take it and use it on the trainer. It is maybe 20 years old. Do I still get all the bearings and drive train? Also do normal wheels fit, or did something change, hub wide still the same?

Don't want to take it to Thailand if I can't fit it.

The bottom bracket should be no problem. The rear hub will probably be 130mm width. Is it a cassette or screw on freewheel? Loose bearings, cones etc should be ok at any bike shop. You can still get everything you need but its a lot easier in europe than over here. I would get it whilst you are there.

I need to restore an old 1989 Kona Cindercone when i go back to the UK. I need some 7 speed wheels and old chainset etc but its all on ebay and should be no problem. I see a lot of the parts i need on thaimtb.com but they worn and beat up and the sellers want silly money for them. In thailand there seems to be some kind of "antique" premium but in the UK its just old stuff sold cheap.

the frame measures on the rear 130 mm and I have a back wheel with 8x hub (Dura ace biggrin.png ) that measures roughly 130. My wife will kill me if I take it, but a man must have priorities, I can load the wheel instead of the wife gigglem.gif .

On the other things, it is not that the bearings are loose, the problem is, it is a nacked frame.

So I would need the bearing for the steering and the crankshaft bearing+half of the power train.

Alternative I could leave it here, load the wife instead and buy the cheapest bike here (want to use it on the trainer only).

(but a bit I would love to compare the old bike with the new on street, but that isn't important).
