any gyms that charge by the hour?

Featured Replies

Most gyms or rather the ones that have a brand name like california fitness need clients to sign up a monthly or even yearly package. Are there gyms in thailand that charge you by the hour and you don't really need to be a member as in signing up some type of long term package. I'm a tourist so i don't stay long in LOS.

Please don't move this to the fitness section as it seems to be dead.

It might help to know where you are.

However, the best deals going in Thailand for gyms are Thai community centers, which charge 40 baht per year. There's two I know of, one in Thewet along the South side of the canal, and one deep in the wilds of Nakorn Patom, south of Phetkasem road near Soi 84.

None of these places have signs in English or are frequented by Westerners. The one in Thewet has a weight room and some aerobics classes, the one in Nakorn Patom has a rather poor weight room but better sports facilities.

Edit: I should have noticed that you're a tourist. In that case, consider bravely striding into a five star hotel that has a fitness room and using theirs. Walk purposefully like you belong there.
