Senior Thai citizens seek more care from younger generation

BANGKOK, 13 August 2015, (NNT) -The Ban Bang Khae Social Welfare Development Center for Older Persons, has implored Thais to visit their older relatives more often, especially on special occasions such as Mother's Day. The center points out that the nation is fast becoming a society of older people.

Exchange students embark on transcontinental journey on electric tuk-tuk

Member of infamous 'San Quentin 6' killed by fellow inmate

Lawyer: Chelsea Manning faces possible solitary confinement

(AP) — Convicted national security leaker Chelsea Manning could be placed in solitary confinement indefinitely for allegedly violating prison rules by having a copy of Vanity Fair with Caitlyn Jenner on the cover and an expired tube of toothpaste, among other things, her lawyer said Wednesday.

Maldives debris may be brought back to Malaysia, says transport minister

IOC rules out viral testing of Rio's Olympic waters

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — The International Olympic Committee ruled out conducting viral tests of Rio de Janeiro's sewage-laden waterways ahead of the 2016 games, a top official said Wednesday, despite an Associated Press study showing dangerously high levels of disease-causing viruses at all aquatic venues, with experts saying athletes are almost certain to be exposed to pathogens.

Crown Prince to rehearse biking at Suan Amporn park today

BANGKOK: -- His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn will practise biking at the Suan Amporn garden park today at 5 pm to prepare his physical fitness for the upcoming "Bike for Mom" event on Sunday.

The crown prince will lead all bikers nationwide who have registered to join the “Bike for Mom” to ride from the Royal Plaza to the 11th Infantry Regiment of the Royal Guards and back on 43-kilometre round trip, as a show of gratitude and love for Her Majesty the Queen on her 83rd birthday anniversary.

The biking on Sunday with begin 3 pm simultaneously across the country.

Crown Prince releases personal video clip practicing biking

BANGKOK: -- His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn today released to the media his personal video clip featuring his rehearsal of biking around the Royal Suan Amporn Garden.

The clip showed the Crown Prince, dressed in blue “Bike for Mom” T-shirt is riding his red mountain bike around the royal garden park for several rounds.

The Crown Prince will lead the “Bike for Mom” biking from the Royal Plaza to the 11th Infantry Regiment of the Royal Guards in Bang Khen on Sunday on a 43-kilometre long round trip on Aug 16,2015.

The event starts at 3 pm Sunday simultaneously across the country with over half a million bikers expected to take part.
