craigt3365 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I've done that route in a car several times. It is amazingly beautiful. Since I'm no longer young, I think I'll have to stick with the car! But sounds like an amazing journey.
Kan Win Posted August 14, 2015 Author Posted August 14, 2015 I have also done it by car years ago. Tourists who visit the Surat Thani area are stopping over on their way either to Koh Samui or to Phuket. If you are in this area one attraction is a must to see "The Rajjaprabha Dam" (also called Chieo Lan Dam). It is secluded and undiscovered by tourists. The dam is located in the Khao Sok National Park, on Road 401 to Phuket off the main Route 41 going south.Hire a long tail boat for a hour trip or so if you wish as long as the weather is good. craigt3365 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Our room last spring. Absolutely lovely. We swam in the clear waters all afternoon! Not cheap, but a great experience.
samuijimmy Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Indeed would be a great trip! I too am past my "sell by date" for pedal bike riding, but motor bike trips I have done.... great scenery and places to go!
