IsaanAussie
Hi Farmers, I have a friend here in Australia who runs diploma courses in Organic Agriculture. He is planning a visit to Thailand in October and would like to visit farms that are practising organic methods. If anyone is interested in hosting a visit to show off your efforts or in discussing things with an experienced practitioner please PM me to get the ball rolling. Regards IsaanAussie
Allgeier
This sounds great. But for me 2 or 3 years to early. Its possible to compare the situation in Australia with Thailand? Allgeier
khwaibah
I applaud you for your interest. My wife has been to numerous programs and seminars (1 week) put on by the army and universities. She has visits on a regular bases from these institutions also she is in a group of 10 that travel to each others farms to get caught up and help each other. Her area is from Chong Chom to Surin. In our area I can show you numerous organic farms, for that matter every Monday there is a 'Green Market' and this is in Kap Choeng.
CLW
Do you think your friend would give a guest lecture at my University?

IsaanAussie
Hi again guys. I have passed on your comments to my friend who is very interested in all your offers. He will be in Thailand for most of October and is basically available from the 6th until the end of the month.
chenposeb
If your friend wants to visit one in its infancy and doesn't mind telling us where we might be going wrong (I am the open minded one with his ego in his back pocket out of the group) it would be great to have an expert opinion. We have mostly been actually farming it chemicals free for about 2 years, only problem is we don't even have proper accommodation for ourselves yet, but that might change by October Mostly rice, fruit trees, veg, fish and chickens at the moment, pigs, rabbits and more probably by October.
