Oklahoma Execution

Featured Replies

Considering the number of Americans on TV, I'm surprised that there is no news about Richard Glossip. I read on Yahoo that he was due to be executed yesterday but had not murdered anyone. Yahoo stated that he was convicted of ordering a killing based solely on the claim made by the convicted killer, this claim having been made in order to avoid the death sentence himself. Yahoo also stated that there is no material evidence whatsoever against Glossip.

bbc.co.uk states that an 11th hour reprieve was granted based on new evidence that the killer has been heard to say that he set up Glossip.

Surely the death sentence should not be permitted in such a case, it would seem that there was not enough concrete evidence for a conviction in most western countries, never mind a death sentence.

Tragic!
