Hawk Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 The other day the headlines said tourist numbers had increased, were increasing. But now the numbers are decreasing. Its a Thai merry-go-round.
ratcatcher Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 (edited) I am sure there will be younger Thai talent to join them? Two 60 year Hong Kong stars. Very good. Not sure who the 3rd person is. Edited September 17, 2015 by ratcatcher
amerasianex Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 What they should do is fire every single person on that office and get some professionals who actually know something about tourism and target markets And demographics. Because these execs do not know shit!
amerasianex Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 These.ambassadors wont help at all Noone knows them outside Thailand and certainly no foreigners know them. So the execs at TAT. Know exactly zero about advertising this country as a destination. Colossal waste of time and money. These are old washed up second rate actors how are they going to help?

HLover Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Are the 3 famous people able to cross the street with no regards for traffic, block the walkways while standing shoulder to shoulder and chew food loudly while smoking and spitting? Perfect.
Prbkk Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 The latest campaign, 'Thainess', has been running for a while on Thai Airways ( and presumably other media). It is truly awful, trying to cover about 15 towns/regions most viewers have never heard of. ... I don't know who has the contract for this but they are churning out some ordinary material. The benchmark should be Malaysia, Truly Asia (running in various iterations for 15 years). Thailand has the better product but is streets behind in marketing. The other great campaign is the USA: Land of Dreams (based on a Roseanne Cash song/video). The Thai campaign is very 70s....

Isn't ignorance bliss? Come on, don't let facts get in the way of some Thai bashing. They are supposed to be known where they target the campaign, in this case Hong Kong and PRC. But our usual Thai bashers ask their Thai GF what they know about them. Hilarious!
