jmansilla
Hello does anyone have any info or experience shipping new and used auto parts into Thailand? I need some suspension and body parts, probably $8,000 in parts to restore and old VW beetle. Also is it any easier to ship small parts, door handles, gauges periodically? Thanks in advance! WarpSpeed
Contact these guys http://www.vwshowtime.com/v2/ , they import all the time from the states, and they may also have plenty of parts already and can save you money. Ask for Greg or Tui, they both speak good English. Edited September 22, 2015 by WarpSpeed

C5VETTE
No problem to ship car parts if you are willing to pay tax (as in any country). Try to avoid shipping with couriers like DHL/Fedex/UPS etc as they will rip you off on taxes up to 50% Shipment with normal post is usually lower on the tax in the 10% region plus 7% VAT. Smaller boxes use to go through without tax. Bigger parts can be very expensive on tax. Had to pay 300% tax on a used gastank.

canthai55
The ones in N. America had a heater powered by gasoline from the fuel tank. Here in LOS - doubtful.
VocalNeal
Hmmm. Beetles have a shroud around the exhaust. Air from the shroud is piped into the car. If right-hand drive Beetles were built for UK market but shipped to Thailand they might still have the exhaust shrouds. Aftermarket headers do not have the shrouds.
