PATTAYA: -- Just before daybreak on Thursday the body of a 47 year old Landlord was pulled from a lake in East Pattaya and it is assumed he committed suicide after making an attempt at his life earlier in the day.

Police and rescue workers made their way to the location, behind a Post Office in Soi Chayapeuk 2 in East Pattaya, just after 5am on Thursday and inspected the body of Khun Natee who was known to be suffering from a multitude of serious debilitating illnesses.

Earlier he had used a large knife and had struck himself over his head repeatedly but was stopped by family members who took him to Hospital.

The Hospital/Police apparently don't have a suicide watch Policy. If they did, this poor guy might still be alive

Great hospital they let him go with the suicide attempt. The hospital should pay his family for being so stupid! Thailand needs health care improvement!

Yes, it sounds like quality of life really did mean more than being kept alive to be the poor guy and what a gruesome way to have to go, or might still be alive. May he rest and thank God or Buddha that maybe some people do have mercy, or he might still suffer needlessly for humanity.

This is really saddening. While I can in principle appreciate someone might want to end his life, drowning is a bad way to go.
