Kitsune
LOL @ The cruncher Twos of my neighbors who do work everyday have not moved their car. Unless they suddenly took public transports, something is up.

fang37
To me, Thai public holidays are determined by whether the banks are open. Look up FE rates on the internet. No change=weekend or public holiday.
Tywais
To me, Thai public holidays are determined by whether the banks are open. Look up FE rates on the internet. No change=weekend or public holiday. Not necessarily. The BOT calendar doesn't follow all the public holidays as they (BOT) are restricted to a certain number of holidays allowed for banks. Morakot
The neighbour should have left a note to clarify the situation!
KhunBENQ
Your neighbors aren't teachers by chance? At least the elementary school in the district town already closed. Big holidays are close. Other schools still open. Banks open. Town crowded as mad. No holiday. Indeed yesterday was some religious holiday (full moon by definition). Many villagers running to the temple. Some sleeping ther overnight. By definition: have you noticed that the Buddhist holidays not always accord to the astronomical full moon date for Thailand? (plus/minus one day?) There seems to be some council of wise men who determine the Buddhist holidays by some criteria. No idea which. E.g. astronomically full moon in Bangkok was today at 9:50h (AM). Not visible of course. Buddhist "event" yesterday. Edited September 28, 2015 by KhunBENQ
