September 28, 201510 yr I thought fatbikes were a clownish fad since the older ones were very heavy. I have probably seen less than 10 people actually riding one in BKK the last 5 years so guess many others haven't thought of this bike too. Now top end ones are lighter than average MTBs! https://fairwheelbikes.com/c/worlds-lightest-fat-bike-18-7-pounds/ I saw a bunch at the recent Seacon Square show and realized this 10 year old fad is going to explode and deserves some research. So I found this old but enlightening link and gotta say they look fun and make lots of sense. http://m.bikemag.com/news/news-fat-and-furious/ Hopefully there will be many to check out at this weeks show at Impact Arena. Silly looking or not, I like the idea of a bike that can easily roll over mud and sand that skinny tires get stuck in.
September 28, 201510 yr They have there place, on a beach or snow, but not on the road or your usual trails. Probably the future is more around the 27.5+ standard that is yet to make it to Thailand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
October 1, 201510 yr Each to their own, they look interesting, fun, but I would not replace my XC for one. never.
