Yet another snake ID request

Featured Replies

But unfortunately no photo, because the poor thing got accidentally chopped into pieces..

Location: Phuket, rubber tree plantation, workers excavating a concrete house support from the soil. The snake appeared as the first few inches of soft earth were excavated. It was a small snake, about 40cm in length, pencil diameter, reddish-brown in colour all over its body except for a very distinctive light blue patch on the top of its head.

Any ideas? Perhaps a juvenile with a juvenile colour marking? I couldn't locate a brown snake with a blue patch on its head on Dr Google.

Dont know but saw this little fella a couple of days ago, about 2.5 metres long Python

No, not a cobra. There are many cobra snakes on my land, and this little guy was not a cobra.

If you found it in the ground it is likely a blind snake. Did it look a lot like an oversized worm?

cant see the point in getting to know it now, its dead.
