Elderly Brit Arrested on Child-sex Charges

A 76-year-old British man confessed last week to sexually abusing three boys between the ages of 12 and 15 in Siem Reap, police said. The boys alleged that the man, named Roy Sheppard, brought them to his apartment, where he sexually assaulted them. He later gave the boys – who came from a poor Siem Reap neighborhood – money and a bicycle.

Khoem Vando, deputy director of field operations at child-protection NGO APLE, said an anonymous source tipped off the NGO to the sexual assault, and after an investigation they alerted the police. “APLE analyzed the source’s information and started assisting police in information collection,” he said.

Shortly after he was brought to the police station, Mr. Sheppard confessed to molesting the three boys. “After the suspect was brought in he told everything he had done to the children,” said Hak Long, deputy director of the anti-human trafficking and juvenile protection office of Siem Reap.

What is it with these Old Farts that keep molesting young boys???

It seems every time I read an article like this a guy is always over 70 years old. I remember another guy from Cambodia who was over 90 years old. A life sentence for him would have been about 3 months in prison. Have they been hiding in the closet all of there life until now, or what?
