Internet Service out of town

Featured Replies

This subject I guess has been up a few times.

I was looking for some of the latest info.

I want to connect internet (I guess ADSL) about 25 Km out of town on the old Chiangmai road.

Has anyone any experience out this way.

I was wondering which provider I can expect out there, and any ideas re pricing - Installation and ongoing.

Sounds like you may be out Sceadugenga’s way so you might try dropping him a PM. For pricing check the websites for the usual suspects. TOT, 3BB and True are probably good places to start. If you want faster speeds you might look at Wi-Net or cable availability at your specific location. A few kilometers can make a big difference in what is available. Asking neighbors is always a good idea.

I've got CAT fibre optic out there, costs me 1600 a month,

Rumour has it that TOT are about to start the same service but it's been said for a while.

If you have/get the phone on you can get CAT or TOT ADSL for about half that price, I have f/o because I need a higher upload speed.

Thanks for the info Gents.

Check out the cables near your house, if you see one with CAT on it take a photo.

Then when you go in to inquire about getting it put on and they say... no have... flash the photo.

Worked for me. cool.png
