Apple TV seems to be working fine, but when I press the MENU button on my remote, I just get a black screen on the TV. Then a few minutes later "movies ads from itunes" start flashing by. Do a search for VPN. BBC iPlayer just recently came to the Apple TV (Read here: http://www.theverge.com/2015/12/14/10090844/bbc-iplayer-apple-tv-app) and might only work with the newest Apple TV.
