Trade officials from Cambodia and Thailand will begin two days of talks in Bangkok tomorrow in an attempt to boost bilateral increase by 30 per cent per year over the next five years, including drawing more investment from third countries in special economic zones (SEZ), including new ones, officials at the Commerce Ministry said yesterday.

They added that they were meeting at the ministry to prepare for the two days of negotiations in Bangkok.

A series of meetings will precede the Joint Trade Commission between Thailand and Cambodia, which will meet for the fifth time in Bangkok on Friday, Commerce Ministry spokesman Ken Ratha said yesterday.

The meeting will be wideranging, he said. Issues on the agenda include boosting agricultural trade, enhancing connectivity at border checkpoints, cooperation on investment facilitation, joint tourism development, and drawing more investment into special economic zones (SEZs), Mr. Ratha said.
