What happens if my wife ( dependent) arrives after her multiple entry expires?

Featured Replies

My wife's multiple entry visa based on Non Immigrant dependent visa ( my work ) will expire mid January 2016. I was wondering what happens if she is not in Thailand prior to that date? does she need to apply for Thai visa ( dependent ) in the country where she is visiting or is there another option? she is US citizen.

Also, if she was going to return prior to the expiration of her multiple entry visa, how many days prior to the expirations is she required to be here for another extension?

Thank you in advance

If she was to enter after her re-entry permit expires she would only get a visa exempt entry if she qualifies for it. She would need to get a non-o visa based upon being your dependent so she could apply for a new extension.

She could enter on the same day her re-entry permit expires if their was enough time to apply for a new extension. Some people have used one dated the day before and got their extension the day after.
