getting Thai tourist visa in the Philippines or in Vietnam

Featured Replies

Did anyone go recently to the Philippines or Vietnam to get visa for Thailand?

any stories?

I've been going for years to Laos to get my visas, and never have any problems, either to get tourist visa or non-O visa.

I need to go again next week. and i'm thinking of going to Vietnam. or Manila for a change

But have heard weird reports, and it seems more complicated than Laos

Any updated info on the subject??

Thank you

Note with the following. that you will only get a single-entry now, as the doubles are no longer in existence. Also, unlike Laos and Penang, you will be more likely to need to show air-tickets and possibly hotel accomodation for at least the first few days of arrival.

I seem to recall similar reports from HoChiMinh City.

Philippines / Manila:

No attempts / reports recently about Cebu that I have seen, though there is a part-time consulate there.
