Phuket on high alert after prisoner with TB escapes

PHUKET: The island of Phuket is on high alert after a prisoner who has TB escaped from the local hospital.

Pichit Wannajit, the Prison’s warden identified the prisoner as Nimit Jindamanee aged 45. The prisoner, who was receiving treatment for his illness in the hospital has been detained on fraud charges since June. The man was admitted to hospital on the 28th of September, his escape was discovered early Friday morning. The police are no trying to track the man down.
