BKK to Pattiya then Koh Kong

Featured Replies

Tomorrow my friend wants to go to Pattiya by bus then on 31 try and get to Cambodia at Koh Kong by road. I told him transport will be very full and roads will be busy . Anyone got any info on doing this at this time of year Thanks

It will be jammed packed. Roads already are here in Pattaya. Massive traffic.

He needs to get a minibus to Trat bus station and thence to the border by another minibus. Usually the traffic levels drop significantly east of Rayong but I don't know about NYE specifically. I suggest he sets off early in the day. I can imagine there will be a lot of people heading for Koh Chang but I wouldn't have thought many would would go to Koh Kong. Obviously he needs to be sure to get to the border before it closes.
