December 31, 201510 yr Anti-drug campaign strengthens during New Year holidayBANGKOK, 31 December 2015 (NNT) – The Narcotics Control Board confirms that drug prevention and suppression measures remain tight across the country.Narcotics Control Board Secretary-General Narong Rattananukul said today that security, administrative and transport agencies had joined forces to prevent drug-related crimes throughout the New Year season.Officials are focusing their attention on inter-provincial bus drivers. The drivers have to take drug tests to make sure they are able to drive competently. Mr. Narong added that checkpoints across the country would double their drug-interception efforts, starting in the new year.The Secretary-General of the Narcotics Control Board, has also warned passengers to watch over their luggage and bags since criminals might slip drugs into them.
