BANGKOK, 27 January 2016 (NNT)-The Public Relations Department (PRD) is hosting a news anchor training program at its headquarters with 69 news anchors from various government sectors attending.

PRD Deputy Director General Dr. Charun Chaisorn said the training program is being held to prepare news anchors for the upcoming news anchor license exam. The test will be carried out by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission.

The training session is taking place until this Friday. With a total learning time of 27 hours, they are expected to learn more about media roles as they pertain to the economy, society and ASEAN. They will learn how to conduct a TV show, read the news and how to communicate with the audience effectively.

Here comes a coordinated saturation of junta propagandists.

The beginnings of crushing independent journalism.

State T.V. for the ignorant masses.

All hail...

Will their be acting classes to help newsreaders present the BS in an appropriate but totally false air of sincerity and happiness as appropriate ?

This item was brought to you by the NNT.

Their use of the term "news anchor" is obviously wrong.

To be fair, NNT isn't a news organization. Their role is to assiduously copy and paste official statements, and produce poorly translated English language versions.

They do a fine job of it.
