I live in Chon Buri, and for the past few days, I've noticed small groups of soldiers out and about. Not overtly patrolling, but nonetheless vigilant. On duty and armed. None of the Thais seem to notice. Has anyone else observed this in there areas?

I live in Chonburi city, there was something going on on the sea bridge last week. Loads of fire engines 20+ maybe if them. Some had Laem Chabang port on them, rescue boats, rescue jet skis, Police and army. Once I got past the queue that was causing there was a load of army vehicles coming down the bridge in the direction of where all the others were parked.

Apart from that and a few more helicopters than normal, I haven't noticed anything.

You have Cobra Gold going to be kicking off soon, perhaps that is part of the reason.

As the 'missions' for Cobra Gold have changed over the last few years, I'm not sure if they still have the 4 point rotation of main bases for the operations or if they are more spread out now.
