Southern Bangkok Criminal Court sentenced Pira Angprom to two years’ jail, suspended, and fined him Bt1,000 for stealing Direk Ruchakong’s fighting cock on December 19 last year. He was also fined Bt500 for animal cruelty. Direk said Pira had unlocked the door of his fighting cocks’ den and stolen one of the cocks. He raped the cock, which died during the assault.
