Baby and parents shot dead on sidewalk

(CNN)The picture of a 7-month-old baby lying dead on a sidewalk between his parents has caused fury in Mexico. The picture shows the family of three moments after they were shot to death outside a convenience store in the city of Pinotepa Nacional in Oaxaca state, according to the Oaxaca State Attorney's Office.

Several armed men shot and killed the family, authorities said. Oaxaca prosecutors told CNN the father, identified as 24-year-old Juan Alberto Pano Ramos, was carrying Marcos Miguel Pano Colón in his arms when they were shot Friday at 8:40 pm. The 17-year-old mother, identified as Alba Isabel Colón, also was killed.

The picture focusing on the baby in a bloodstained white onesie, lying head down between his father's torso and left arm, has gone viral in Mexico. The young mother, wearing denim shorts and a red blouse, lies in the background.

Whilst horrible, the shooting was drug gang related. Predictable ending.

....is it the greed or the drugs.....

...either way....the outcome is......... 'life becomes secondary'.....

....can't get much worse than that....

This should ignite all the Narco trafficker songwriters up in a positive way. There is no way you can glorify this.

What Mexico needs is more guns!

This is what the American MRA would have them believe anyway.

RIP Baby.

No doubt the "Drugs are good TVF Gang" will chime in now.

Drugs are good or guns are good?

Certainly the demand for narcotics in the US and Europe seems only to be growing so as long as there is profit to be made, atrocities will continue to occur in the chase for more and more wealth and power. Unregulated drugs are bad, but the world's response to the drugs problem are making the situation many times worse.

It seems to me that the number of safe countries to live in are becoming smaller each year...living with death and destruction has become a way of life for many in the 21st Century...

I have seen beheading videos and other ISIS/Taliban/AlQ horrors, but the image in the link in the OP is absolutely haunting and the most damning indictment on the human race I have seen for a long time. Very haunting, disturbing and above all sad.

Regulated drugs are a crappp fight as well. Look at all trouble that occurs when u mix humans with alcohol.

I am pretty sure this poor child had nothing to do with drugs.

RIP little one.
