A train ticket Hat Yai - Surathani

Featured Replies

I found this http://www.thailandtrainticket.com/ but I believe it's not a official website of thai railways.

How can I buy a train ticket from Penang (Butterworth) or Padang Besar or Hat Yai to Suratphan in the internet without any middle man?

here is the online ticketing website for Malaysian Railway .. https://intranet.ktmb.com.my/e-ticket/login.aspx

however, i don't see any train from Butterworth to neither Hat Yai or Suratphani.. But they do have train from Padang Besar to both Hat Yai and Suratphani

maybe you should look at Surat Thani

I have been looking at going the other way into Malaysia but it appears they are all booked out for the next 2 plus years by the website, I can only presume that travel agencies have the first call on all the tickets as you are unable to get any booking with sleeping arrangements for the longer journeys. Would appear money or should I say profits are a lot more important than running a good service and allowing individuals book a ticket. Admittedly though this was the thai site so what can we expect.

This may help

Last time I bought a train ticket (3 years ago?) there was a quite nice interactive website run by the railroad, but I guess not any more.
