Airbnb....any way of only getting hits that are vacant soon?

Featured Replies

I'm spending/wasting a lot of time looking through Airbnb apartments for a short stay in BKK when I click see calendar it's booked up.

Is there any way of only getting hits which have vacancies soon?

I've heard of Homeaway and think there are others.......worth a look?

Alternatively recommendations for a pleasant hotel ca 800-1500bt close to Skytrain? (Is that enough?)

It's kinda difficult coordinating

1. Night train to BKK from CM

2. Apartment to stay

3. Plane back to CM

....for a couple of days stay.

Of course I can toil and try to do.

But what would a clever man do?

Any hints welcome

Thanks v much!

You enter your dates first in filters. That should then provide only listings available. However for very short stay far better off with hotel. Zillion available.

That was a very good start thanks jacksam

Where you wish to stay depends on your likes. What you wish to do in couple of days, etc

@OP - Also, check the box that says "Instant Booking" to only see places guaranteed available for those dates AND with Instant confirmation.

Thanks Jacksam et al.

I suffer from panic attacks which have stopped me flying and made travel in places like BKK very difficult.

Hate the sky train for instance especially the stations....but got to get used to it.

I've been making a big effort to free myself up recently with some success.

I am able to travel ok by night train and intend to do this (though berths are a problem within days). I would then hope to just try to get around BKK a bit get used to the sky train and maybe cycling if I can, and just break the flying ice by returning by air with the help of a beer or two first time.

Don Muang seems to my nutty brain more do-able, my agoraphobia hates the thought of SUV all glass and stainless and out in a wide open flat plain.....but I need to get there sometime and spend hours there until I start to feel comfortable. Just the trip there is daunting to my anxious mind, but it's got to happen if I ever want to really travel again.

I've thought of explaining my problem and asking BKK airways if I can use their lounge as a hangout there.

If I get on ok I shall then fly TO somewhere also .......(it's more difficult to ARRIVE at a place that's not home so is the next step)

It's not that I'm not reasonable happy living in CM but life would be enriched if I had choices and freedom and could go places with my wife or friends.
