BANGKOK, 28 February 2016 (NNT) - Members of the National Legislative Assembly have travelled to the South to hear problems of local people in hopes of helping solve them.

NLA’s Second Vice President Peerasak Porjit, who chairs the NLA Meets the People project, led 20 members of the legislature to meet with locals in southern Krabi and Phang-Nga during February 27 and 28.

The trip was planned to enable the NLA to discuss the problems of Krabi and Phang-Nga residents and to follow up on the implementation of all policies the current government has presented to the NLA.

Mr. Peerasak said that the trip was the first in a series of 12 trips the NLA has planned to make in 2016 to seek cooperation from people across the country and help solve problems in each area.

In Krabi, the NLA has met with various state offices and heard problems about the development of the transportation network for tourism and the construction of the coal-fired plant as well as the absence of tertiary institutions on the Andaman coast.
