Ministry of Transport to revise budget for 2007

The Permanent Secretary for Transport, Mr. Chaisawad Kittiphornphaiboon (ชัยสวัสดิ์ กิตติพรไพบูลย์), indicated that the budget for next year will be adjusted so the spending would be more efficient.

Mr. Chaisawad spoke about his first day at the office and the overall work plan of the Ministry of Transport. He said the budget for 2007 will have to be fine-tuned so it would be in line with the Sufficiency Economy concept. The urgent project that affects the shipping cost such as the BTS three-route extension project will be revised by the Transport Minister, Admiral Thira Hao-charoen.

In the meantime, the transport routes must be adjusted for the purpose of continuity, and the departments under the transport ministry are acting in accordance with the important projects.

After the ministry received the government policy on October 27th, the departments under the ministry will adjust its policy so it would be compatible with the government.
