Looking for plastic cutlery trays

rebo

Recommended Posts

Inside dimensions of our drawers: 40 cm width / 45 cm length.
Chiangmai Plastic doesn't have anything close to that, same is valid for IKEA.

Does anyone have an idea where in Chiang Mai we could have a chance to find one that suits?

Thanks in advance

Central Dept. stores has some in their housewares dept. So do the grocery stores.

I think you're just going to have to shop around and maybe settle for a couple of smaller ones in each drawer, rather than trying to find big cutlery trays.

Another option would be to have your tray(s) custom built to fit the drawer. There are people in many villages who do fine woodwork or furniture building or the like. It shouldn't cost too much, and, better yet, it would be done to your specifications.

Muji has quality plastics, different sizes, boxes and trays for organizing stuff, choose a few that together fit the need.

Muji?

Never heard.

Thanks for all your advises; become confident again to find what is needed ...

Central Festival. Looks like O.K. Japanese stuff - but probably made in China!

Front corner of Central Department Store, third or fourth floor, right side. Good quality. Made in China? don't know and there are a lot of excellent products made in China. Japanese company but Japanese stuff? what does that mean?

It only means that very little is still manufactured in Japan these days. The Japanese used to manufacture high-quality stuff in the 1950's-1980's. Not anymore....

Muji - one of those 'little bit of everything you didn't realise you needed' stores - the Japanese love them! I used to visit Muji during business trips to Japan for their ultra-cool designs, great prices great and good quality - even if I didn't actually need anything, I still came out with a bag full! When they opened a store in London's Covent Garden Market area, I called in but prices were ludicrously high in comparison with the Japanese stores and the designs had lost their edge. Didn't know there's one in Central, must give it the once-over.
