BANGKOK: -- Former commerce minister Watana Muangsook said he will report to the military junta today for "attitude adjustment" after strongly criticised the invitation of his colleague Worachai Hema to attend the same session last week.

Writing on his Facebook page “Watana Muangsook”, today the former minister said he was unshaken by the military junta’s invitation and would continue to make criticism.

He recalled that soldiers came to his house yesterday asking to take him for attitude adjustment under the military junta’s order for his criticism after Worachai Hema was summoned for attitude adjustment.

However he was not in the house.

However soldiers didn’t leave but were deployed at his house throughout the night, making him unable to enter his house last night.

He said he therefore spent the night at a friend’s house instead.

He said he told the soldiers that since he had to report to the Criminal Court this morning, he would report to the military junta later at 11 am.

He added that he would continue to criticise as he considered that any people who exercise state power and receive their salaries on taxes paid by the people, he has the basic right to make criticism as long as it benefits the people.

Freedom = the power or right to act, speak or think as one wants.

Are we now saying that unity is actually a charade,

Couldn't agree more - people in power should always remember who are actually paying their (official) salary.

Your definition is anarchy, not freedom.

All countries, have laws with which their inhabitants must abide by.

The restrictions imposed by those laws appertaining for free speech, the right to challenge those governing, the media, the right of peaceful protest etc is a measure of that particular country's view of personal freedoms; country being a representation of the government and the influential establishment.

Even in the most liberal democracies, people are not free to act just as they want.

Brave man. Someone thailand can be proud of.

Nope. A member of one gang whining because a different gang kicked them out and won't let them back at the trough.

Nothing to be proud of - being a lacky to a crook.
