CNS to make document on its operation

The Supreme Commander and a member of the Council for National Security (CNS), Gen. Boonsrang Niempradit (บุญสร้าง เนียมประดิษฐ์), said a document is being prepared to comprehensively clarify the role of the CNS.

The document will explain the seizure of the administrative power, the process to reform the administration, and the future tasks of the council. The copies of this document will come in two languages, which are Thai and English.

Moreover, Gen. Boonsrang has also asked the media to clarify more details of the CNS framework in a constructive manner.

The Foreign Ministry goes ahead with public relations campaigns to boost foreign governments' understanding in Thailand's democratic standpoint

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is gearing up public relations campaigns to boost foreign countries' understanding toward the Thai democratic stance, hoping to win their support to the reform.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sawanit Kongsiri (สวนิต คงสิริ), has attended the 6th International Conference on New or Restored Democracies (ICNRD) providing opportunities for participants to exchange views on developing the Democracy at Doha in Qatar. During the conference attended by representatives from 159 countries, Mr. Sawanit has delivered a speech insisting that Thailand still sticks on Democratic regime although the kingdom has faced with many challenges disrupting the Democracy of the country such as the military coup. He said that the coup did not mean to ruin the Democracy. He said that Thailand is trying to restore Democracy by using the short time as possible as.

He added that Thailand’s government has prepared many types of political reform to lead situation to normalcy and strengthen Democracy of the country. He revealed that the government’s supervision will follow justice, transparency, and working efficiency. The media and people will be given importance as well.
