user82374298374
Why do Koreans come to Thailand to do this stuff? Why not just do it in Korea?

arrowsdawdle
Why do Koreans come to Thailand to do this stuff? Why not just do it in Korea? Taxes? Sophisticated IT forensics? Severe penalties?

Isn't this the same argument that digital nomads use, concluding that what they are doing is not illegal? Working online for foreign clients with the money not entering Thailand. Just wondering. Khon Kaen Dave
I would imagine that someone, somewhere was pissed off because these people had not paid their dues. Thai Mr Bigs hate foreigners who are somewhat cleverer than them.
sanukjim
Why do Koreans come to Thailand to do this stuff? Why not just do it in Korea? Because the punishment is much more severe in Korea and here there is always the "bribe" element.
Steelroad
I am surprised they got caught so quickly - two to three months. I assumed the RTP weren't too hot at solving computer based crime.
Brer Fox
Why do Koreans come to Thailand to do this stuff? Why not just do it in Korea?Because they know the heavily armed military and the police in Thailand are busy shaking down the illegal bridge playing dens and thus there is a big chance these villains will remain undetected while the law is distracted with other more easy prey who are not fleet of foot and do not have the ability to escape quickly.
