Is this what posting on this forum has finally come to,ye Gods.

Shit happens - where's your compassion 555

Try "experiencing" the LOS from this side of the street first, before asking that question.

Huh?

Here is the secret remedy to calm women!

-give them a long close hug for a minute or two

-say nothing and let them speak

-ignore the drama

-leave them alone till they come to you

-offer their favorite food with no coffee

-surprise them with a small gift

-offer a nice massage with a very slow hand and lotion or oil

-suggest a late afternoon, early evening walk

When all else fails give them the women's Viagra......CASH!

If that fails it's time to look for backup!

That much is definitely above, and beyond the normal levels of exercising patience, and perseverance.

Considering the average ROI level with Asian females, the"-leave them alone till they come to you" mindset should suffice.

Ha ha ha...it takes work and without work most will not come back to you!

Prepare yourself for backup!

If you're breaking this down to business, a woman from anywhere is a poor investment if her ROI is negative.

As women can be good actors too, here is my guess of why she dropped her phone in toilet.

There were photos on the phone of her and her gik and the delete option was not working properly. She panicked and chose the easiest believable option for you not to find out that she has a gik. The aftermath...well she is a good actress....dont worry it will be over soon.

Those of us that have been around long enough know that you are merely speaking from personal experience.

..........

Will you ever get over it?

Build a bridge, life is too short ;)

I think about 1/2 the Farang here would be overjoyed if some company like Nokia had a phone (not these free phones with a service brand logo that come when handing in their old phone that they were quite content with) that was mono screen, real buttons that don't care if your fingers are sweating, made voice calls, and the occasional SMS with a standby of about 2 weeks power and doesn't need 2G for non voice data and just remove the 2G functionality (I'm surprised it's not just a firmware upgrade actually) - 3G just being a faster version (I'm sure they wouldn't be using it for internet, there are normal computers for that kind of thing, and are people who prefer to be social animals when in company).

The other half (and I include myself, if only because I like having a dictionary and GPS) don't seem so fussed about having the latest smart phone, just something that is ample for the job.

Women/Thais (that's most of the population I guess) want the latest of everything for pose value, and often have 2 of them (one for calls and one device with a screen big enough to watch soaps and play games on).

My gf has some kind of Apple phone that she doesn't even know the model number of (I suspect it is a 4 something or other). I paid to put a new case and replace the cracked screen, and it does everything you could ask of a phone as a communication device.

When she said the screen is too small to watch soaps I reminded her that there are 2 good laptops here and a fairly modern desktop that will play all her games and I could even offer up my Rasberry PI 3 for smart TV if she wants. None of those will fall out of your top pocket when cleaning the toilet either.

Despite the above, she's hankering for an iPAD, and asked me what I was getting her for christmas. I was too slow and missed the opportunity to point out that for that she should be a Christian.

I think we all know someone who has dropped a phone down a toilet - maybe that will be their next marketing ploy for the newer water proof models - just get your hand in there and retrieve it, but don't break a nail.

If this reads like there's a bit of an axe to grind in my words, it's because there is. As a generalisation I would respect a person who has a plain phone and plain nails, and no lapdog with a collar colour coded to the that of the phone depending which day of the week. Yeah Yeah I can afford an S7 and lapdog too, but I'd much rather have a mongrel dog and pair of utility boots.

Nope, she'd be pissed but is pretty laid-back and wouldn't go off on one like that, and also knows that if she did have an attitude such as this she'd be out the door... not joking. Suggest putting her in her place or a new model. wink.png

Just go on holiday for a week until she calms down , when you get back and she says where the hell did you go ? Just reply I tried to call you but no answer. Then duck for cover.

Kabula, there's a saying somewhere like: "Any man who thinks can understand woman is a fool" but you could darn well be close to the mark for Thai ladies especially the Cash!!

How about getting back on topic :-) ? Years ago my Thai wife dunked her phone in the toilet and by the time she contacted me by land line the "cure" was too late. That was to remove the battery (could do in that model) and quickly drip methylated spirits through the works to absorb the water and then cold blow with the hairdryer. But electrolytic corrosion had set in in the 30 minutes. New phone and this nice husband bought it. She is a Jai Rhon mak mak raging person but only about others, not herself. A farmer friend keeps telling me, "Strange cattle; women".

P.S. minimum of metho hanging around when cold blow with hairdryer on full cold blast. Brush motor makes sparks. You know; like the Jai Rhon temper that baneko alluded to. :-)

Wait I have an S5 and it's water proof to 1 meter and the S6 is also water proof how deep is your toilet ???

Water resistant possibly....not the same as a dump in the lavvy for 10 mins. Haha.. Edited by baneko

If this happens again, to anyone, remove the battery ASAP, then drop the phone into methylated spirits, this, unlike oil based products, absorbs water, leave over night, allow to dry, say a pray to... well whoever your God is, then replace the battery and cross your fingers.

My S5 has been in the swimming pool a few times without issue.

Believe me or not either way the care factor is zero, The phone is sold as waterproof and mine has been in the pool a few times.... make from that what ever you want.

I beleive you I do! Why do you keep putting it in the pool?

Not on purpose. I learnt after a few times to leave phone and wallet in the bedroom when mates are coming round for beers and BBQ.

Good idea....wish my wife did....S6 edge totally goosed...will try further checks...there are a few methods...have been trying but to no avail.

By the way, my mrs has my old phones, and gives hers to her mum or dad, actually i have the Galaxy Edge Plus now, so its in effect my wife's phone 555, she's just hovering over me, waiting for me to get another upgrade....i am doomed.

Quite the opposite here, when I need a new phone Mrs. BM gets a new one and I get her old one, hence why I have a girly white thing. And for those of you about to tell me to grow a pair, I have a pair already, this is a small price to pay for all she does for me.
