retoohs
Does anyone know if there is a dawn parade on monday to commemorate ANZAC day? It is the centenary year this year (2016) and I would like to do something to honour and remember the troops who made such horrendous sacrifices both then in Gallipoli and in wars that have followed where my homeland Kiwi groups fought in the same spirit alongside Australian and American servicemen. starky
If you're that fair dinkum about it mate, they have a dawn service up at hellfire pass at kanchanaburi. Then a wreath laying ceremony at the Don Rak war cemetery. Not quite Gallipoli but a place where many servicemen gave their lives. When I went there were fully inclusive tours that would pick you up from BKK early that morning. It's about a 3 hour run. That's where I would be going. starky
So how dya go mate? Did you get to the dawn (parade???) service or not? How did you celebrate the centenary year (? +1). For a bloke that seems so concerned you actually seem to know very little about it.
