Post Office Wings E-Commerce Deal

Cambodia Post Office (CPO) and Wing (Cambodia) Specialized Bank have signed a partnership allowing Wing customers to transfer money and pay bills through the government agency as the post office moves into e-commerce. CPO director general Ork Bora told Khmer Times post offices in key locations would now offer Wing services, including cash-in and cash-out.

“We also offer money transfers, but because Wing has become very broadly used and with modern technology, we have to change from competing with each other to joining hands in partnership,” said Mr. Bora. “From now on, our customers can make payments via Wing when they want us to ship their products.” Wing CEO Jojo Mololos said the partnership would provide fast, secure and easy mobile services for all customers.

Wing’s popular and cheap money transfer services allow low-income earners to transfer money for emergencies or everyday spending to their families in the provinces, which can be picked up at any local post office, he said. “[This] is another milestone moment as Wing has now partnered with the Cambodia Post Office. This collaboration will now allow all Cambodia Post Offices located nationwide to become our Wing agents,” said Mr. Mololos.
