geovalin
Khmer Times/Buth Reaksmey Kongkea More than 40 monkeys were rescued by customs officials at the Cambodia-Vietnam border in Memot yesterday, according to Police Lieutenant Colonel Chuon Phally, the Deputy Commander at Tbong Khmom military camp. The primates were being ferried to Vietnam in a Toyota Highlander, Mr. Phally said, but the driver escaped by fleeing into a nearby forest after a brief car chase. “The suspect transported these monkeys from a Cambodian province and planned to sell them in Vietnam. Our provincial military forces chased his car,” Mr. Phally told Khmer Times yesterday, adding that the Highlander had been seized and impounded at the provincial forest administration headquarters, where it awaits its driver’s return. The 43 rescued monkeys were being held in sacks in the car, but are now in the custody of the forest administration, which will release them into a national park, Mr. Phally said. source http://www.khmertimeskh.com/news/24316/monkey-business-stopped-at-border/

humqdpf
When I read about stopping monkey business at the border, I thought it was a clampdown on a customs scam or shakedown or something to do with dodgy immigration behaviour!
