Public health ministry sets THB11-bn budget to develop health services

BANGKOK, 3 May 2016 (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health is urgently developing a health service plan for all health regions nationwide for the years 2018 – 2022. More than 11 billion baht has been approved for all 12 health regions.

Permanent Secretary for Public Health M.D. Sophon Mekthon on Monday presided over a meeting on the development of the health service plan under the 11-billion-baht budget.

The plan is aimed at increasing public access into quality health services. The meeting instructed the 12 health regions to urgently develop their own health service plan which covers medical equipment and treatments of major diseases.

The meeting also set a target to decrease the mortality rate of heart disease and develop hospitals’ capacity to perform operations for heart disease patients.

... any plans to Reintroduce the FARANG Healthcare Insurance Scheme that was ditched after only One Year?

Have to wonder if many of the FARANG Suicides, are a result of people being DROPPED by the Government Health Care having no alternative than to "take a One-off FLYING Lesson when they discover they can't afford Medical Attention?"
