Shipping a box / boxes from Thailand to Canada. What's the best (cheapest)?

Featured Replies

I'm also doing websearch, but would like to get some opinions of disinterested parties ie forum members who've done some shipping. How do you go about it?

I'm interested in both slow and fast shipping, depending on costs and things. I'm shipping a box full of stuff back home. Presents, mostly jewelry and clothes and stuff.

You can post up to 20 kilos with about 3 time frame options....

I believe LBC also has a presence here in Thailand......

thai post registered is still cheap and reliable but tracking to canada and australia doesnt work.

I shipped a few decent sized (i.e. maximum size & weight) from Thailand to Canada using Thai Post's slow surface mail. Cheaper than any shipper, and everything arrived as expected, albeit a bit slow.

I'd recommend the postal system.

Do you want to know what is the best way to ship stuff to Canada or the cheapest way to ship it ?
They really don't go together.

Also what do you mean by a box, how big will this box be ?

Whenever anyone on TV wants to know about shipping stuff overseas they really give no real information other than how cheap they can do it.

Well, I left it open because what I send could vary based on the options available. Also, I'll probably send something more than once, and other ThaiVisa members might look at this question and themselves have a different package to send.

In my case, probably a 10 pound box, about 1 cubic foot (although the dimensions could be anything).

Use the postal system. Can't remember the exact limitations regarding size and weight, but the info is available from Thai Post website.

Also, be sure to check the Canadian postal size and weight limitations for delivery. As I recall, I could send more than I could receive, so had to be aware of making both sending and receiving compliant.
