Visa Run To Singapore

Featured Replies

people have said that Penang is no longer an option for certain types of non - imm 'O' type visas...only KL and S'pore instead as local options...anyone got any recommendations regarding inexpensive flights and accommodation in S'pore for this purpose? I would prefer S'pore to KL as I know the place and public transport is cheap and clean.

However, S'pore is an expensive place relative to SEA in general and I would expect to pay USD50 per night for a basic but clean hotel room...don't expect to stay any longer than required to get the new non-imm 'O' visa...

any one night packages?...Thai tour agents that are accommodating?...etc., etc...

Here are some budget hotel listings. I stayed at the YMCA International House (about $50.00)because it was inexpensive and convenient location. And you are right, Singapore is expensive.

holy shed...USD50 for the YMCA?...I'll be coming with the wife, she won't be able to get a shower in the 'men only' facilities there...jostling with leather men, cops in uniform, red indians with headdresses, etc...

I can recommend any of the hotel 81 chain as they are clean and cheap'45-55 sing dollars a night. No fridge but tv coffee facilities etc.Stayed there 30+ times transiting thru sing and never a problem

Seems like evry hotel in Singapore is listed at visitsingapore.com has prices & locations with maps

Singaporeair.com have a sweet deal promotion 2 to fly could be what you r after

Hey tutsi, go to the counter at the airport that does the hotel bookings. I got a fairly decent room there for about 60 rocks. Seemed like they had a lot of deals. Flying down there on Air Asia or Tiger is cheapest I think dood

anyone know whether the airport hotel booking service is as cheap as booking in advance? If so, sounds like a good way to go for an overnight arrangement...

also...what's the drill at the embassy?...drop off in the am and collect the next day in the pm like Penang?

The airport booking service is free. If u fly Tiger u land at the Low cost airport [ not Changi]
