Uber taxi driver hauled from court over abuse

In the United States, an Uber taxi driver from Michigan will testify via video from jail to determine whether he’ll stand trial for killing six people.

45-year-old Jason Dalton was hauled out of court for a verbal outburst while witness Tiana Carruthers was on the stand in a preliminary hearing.

Carruthers, who was reportedly shot three times after putting herself between the shooter and some children she was taking care of, began to cry and deputies restrained Dalton as he gestured towards her.

Dalton is charged with shooting eight people and killing six of them within five hours in February this year in between driving customers for the Uber car service in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Uber is supposed to be a safer option when using taxis.

Well not in this case.

No, he wasn't bothering his customers. It was when he wasn't working that he was a problem.

Total nut-job.... But I can't see how the UBER reference is of note... he may as well have been a postman or a bus driver...

there is a move from those in the pro traditional taxi companies to use anything negative to get uber shut down. also it makes for a better headline and more clicks.

Does Michigan have the death penalty ?

i do hope so.

Yeah he just killed people when he wasent busy with the taxi,no relation to uber but as already said the heading doesent do uber any favours.
