Ttt/maxnet Promotion Pimia ?

Featured Replies

Was talking to a TTT/Maxnet support guy about the poor speed to overseas website and he advised to sign up for a new PIMIA promotion.

Supposedly its jsut 90B over the usual ADSL4home subscription.

He advised me to check their website - maxnet.co.th - but it's all Thai.

Called their helpdesk, they couldn't really explain what it was.

Anyone know the details?

I'd be interested in this, too. I'm a TT&T Maxnet customer and wouldn't mind speeding up the ADSL connection.

BTW, according to http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com, PIMIA stands for "Potentiometric Ionophore-Modulation ImmunoAssay". :o

Ah, it turned out to be "Premium" and the price was just 90 baht more than for my current 1024/512 ADSL@home - but for a 256/128 line. Essentially I think it's just a new name for the ADSL@work or whatever they called it before.

I gave it a pass.

maxnet@life it is called, and I pay 1550 Baht/month.

International speeds pretty steady at 90% - 95% of rated speed, with the very occasional drop to 70%.

Am very happy to pay the premium, eventhough on average the cheaper package probably is faster (25% of rated would still be my full speed!)...

It's just knowing what to expect and getting it all the time gives you peace of mind for which no money is too much (well, 90 Baht isn't :o )
