Good riding season here. Cool on medium precip. A skiff of snow on the deck this AM. The KLR gas tank has developed a slow leak on the right rear lower seam. Blame it on the bear attack? ...or maybe the ten other times papa dumped her... Used replacement from Utah will arrive in a few days; $90 & 30 shipping. papa al
The 2-years-old Michelin tires [B5600] on the Climber although not worn out, have been showing plenty checks. Ordered a set from Vee Rubber which were delivered to my condo today, @ 3404B all in. Will have mounted Monday.
papa al
papa back. Sunday. Had the tires mounted by local mech. He had problems. This younger son the mech seems a bit slow. Yesterday met a 36 y/o English guy who has been teaching at Rugby School since Sept. A good rider with 250 CRF-R. Met up with him this AM and did the 15K loop. Finally a riding partner! Climber front brake funky losing pressure. Also engine began lacking low end power. Maybe should check spark plug this year. Will have guys check next time out KMK. Trails are in good shape. papa, not so much.
papa al
Report from KMK. New air filter fixed Climber power issue. Have been riding 2 or 3 times / week. Cooler temps are.. cool. My 9-y/o buddy Gun finished [at Buriram] a good season racing Supercross. #1 in 50cc class #2 in 65cc class, 12-year-old limit. 50cc ride is a KTM 2-stroke. 65cc is Kawasaki 2-stroke maybe KX65, maybe 17 HP. His dad says Gun will be riding Yamaha 65cc next year. Maybe sponsored, not sure, language barrier.

papa al
A fortnight ago papa took a spill at KMK. Landed hard on right shoulder. Shoulder protection did its thing but slammed hard, Still hurting some. Healing is slow after 70. Decided to try to sell the two trials bikes. 25K for Climber; 50k for Honda. Will donate 1/2 the sale price to charity. Hand-to-Hand Foundation. Edited January 11, 2020 by papa al
