NSTDA pushes forward project to support fruit and vegetable entrepreneurs

BANGKOK, 30 May 2016 (NNT) - Ms. Chanakarn Santayanont, the Senior Advisor of Industrial Technology Assistance Program (ITAP), the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), said that Thailand’s major partners have now recognized the importance of product standards in import products such as fruits and vegetables.


NSTDA has cooperated with the Thai Chamber of Commerce to implement the project aimed at raising and enhancing the potential of fruit and vegetable entrepreneurs by Thai GAP, the agricultural production management in accordance with private standard requirements.

Production quality management will be managed by focusing on food safety for consumers, welfare of the operators and to safeguard the environment.
