There is a quote by Stephen Hawking that sounds to me like it has some common sense:

“The thing about smart people is that they seem like crazy people to dumb people.”

Trump must be a genius

Hawking's is a theoretical physicist. He had devoted his life to this subject. That doesn't make him an expert on American politics, or anything else for that matter. He's just another guy, giving his opinion.
